While working under contract for Grade A Design in New York City, Lancôme commissioned me to do conceptual designs for a series of GWP (Gift with Purchase) bags that took direct influence from Lancôme perfume bottles of the 1940’s and the 1980’s. A great deal of attention was given to the details from the fabrics on both the inside and out, to the zipper pulls and even the stitching.
While these bags were not produced, they provided the internal design team at L’Oréal with inspiration with GWP bags that were later produced in 2011.
