After a few years of commuting around the streets of NYC, I began to notice bikes all around me, as more than just regular elements of the city, but parts of the city that had a story to tell. I began carrying my digital SLR camera in my pack while riding and since 2006 have captured over 1,000 portraits of bikes all around NYC. Each time I snap a photo, I leave behind an “I <3 NYC” sticker with my URL so that bike owners can later see their bikes on my site.
